Add Gutter Indesign

Open the pages panel window pages and select the thumbnails for the pages you wish to change. For gutter type a value to specify the spacing between rows or columns. Columns created with the create guides command are not the same as those created with the layout margins and columns command. Start with a low value such as 1 pica.

Choose layout margins and columns. Large gutters leave little space for columns. Find the columns window and enter the number of columns you want to add. Indesign uses the first definition in margins and columns so i m going to guess that is what your question is about.

Some people use gutter to describe the space between 2 columns other use it to describe the space between two pages.
